My favorite book is one of the older ones, "Dragondrums". It's a part of the Harper Hall series of Pern. It's the story of a young boy who on reaching puberty, is drafted by Masterharper Robinton into political work that leads to all sorts of adventures.

What's yours?

The only Ann McCaffrey book I've ever read was Dragonsong. It was really good, but then I got into A Song of Fire and Ice and kinda nose-dived that way.

The Dragonriders of Pern Series isn't the only series of books Anne McCaffrey wrote, just my favorite.

This is the wiki page about the series

This is the pern wiki with all the information on the series

This is the chronological order of the books

I liked Dragonsong too. I have never read A Song of Fire and Ice. Does it have dragons in it? I like dragons.

Thank you Rabbit! I will check those out!

As for A Song of Ice and Fire...why yes there are dragons! Not many yet but I'm guessing before long there will be more! Either way they play a huge role in the series!

You're welcome.

I will be picking up A Song of Ice and Fire from the library to read.

Let us know how you like it, Rabbit.

You know, going through the links posted, my interest in the Pern Books has revived and I think after I finish Zikhin, I'm going to get into them. Maybe even read them in the order the author intended. I'm not even sure where Dragonsong fits in the whole list.
