These are a few rules everyone needs to follow to keep the peace - so follow them. They don't ask anything too difficult and are in place for a reason. Violation will result in a warning the first time, second time - banning.

In keeping with AJ's #1 rule - Respect

1. Respect other people's posts, ideas, creations, opinions and (in the RolePlayers' Domain) characters.

2. Do not post anything in any form that attacks or mocks others or their beliefs, religious views, customs or politics.

3. No vulgar language. Keep in mind that while this site is primarily aimed at adults (due to the average readership of AJ's books) people of all ages post here. Inappropriate topics and sexual innuendo have their place and time.

4. When posting, try to be clear and concise. Use proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Nobody is going to be expecting perfect English, but try to compose your post so that readers can understand without having to decipher acronyms, chatspeak and poor English. Take a minute to reread your post before you post it.

5. NO YELLING. Posting in all capitals is annoying and poor netiquette. Thread titles do not need extra exclamation marks, either.

6. If you're making a post in relation to a book, movie or game that might reveal key points (namely 'spoilers') note it plainly in the thread title or at the very beginning of your post.

7. Use the "Search" function to check for existing topics before creating a duplicate thread.

8. Post in the appropriate area. Not taking the time to do so is just laziness.

9. Stay on topic as much as possible. If you have to be reminded by a moderator to get back on topic and you don't, the thread will close.

10. Spamming will not be tolerated anywhere except for the Spam section. This includes advertising and plugging your own websites. If you want to share your website, do it in your profile.

11. Here's a general catch all - no flamming, trolling or being a jerk. Treat people the way you'd like to be treated.

If you have a problem or concern about the site, contact the mod of the section in question.

As it stands:

Alaryah Dalca - Fantastic Worlds

Bandit King - Jester's Jollies

Dot - General Forums

White Wraith - RolePlayers' Domain

If there is no section mod or if the concern is of a general nature, contact either of us and we'll try to resolve your problem. If we can't, we'll contact AJ on your behalf.

Please note that you should not contact the site administrator unless it is of a very urgent and important nature. There's a reason why we have support staff.

Do not PM the Admin or the moderators about becoming a moderator. This is an earned privilege and we will contact you if we feel you are mod material.

Avatars & Signatures
Avatars cannot exceed 150 pixels by 200 pixels, the file size cannot be higher than 64 KB. If you have a picture that exceeds these requirements - when you upload it, it should automatically refit it.

Signatures have no stated requirements - however, we would ask that you do not make pictures/banners wider than 550 pixels (so that the forum layout isn't stretched) and keep their height to a resonable size.

Above all, have fun.

Keep these rules in mind when you're posting and I won't have to enforce them.
